In Shasta County, CA, sheriff’s deputies and other county officials emotionally harm a child by taking and killing her pet. They must now answer in federal court.
The same thing happened to my sister over 50 years ago. She raised a pig for 4-H and loved it. My father did everything he could do to save the pig after the Fair but he failed. I have hated 4-H and FFA ever since. What they write as their purpose for youth is destroyed by cases like this. Obviously, not all kids fall in love with their animals but the adults running these organizations do not veer from their cruelty when exceptions should be made.
